New VRS Owner with a few q's

Featured Replies

Just picked up a 52-plate VRS with 100k on the clock for £2000 which was previously owned by a Skoda mechanic. All looks nice apart from the tyres which I have booked in for Falken 452's all round on Saturday.

Two immediate questions:

What's the flappy thing near the rear-view mirror - can't work out what purpose it serves?!

Where are you guys going to get your spare bits? I want to start a few projects like the oil pickup change & throttle body clean & am used to buying the parts online from a specialist for my Saab & Volvo.... whats the online Skoda shop equivalent?

Thanks!

The flappy thing is a another sunflap a small one put both sunflaps down then put that one down.... you'll see err jorily skoda for parts or ebay for some bit's.... and get it re-mapped

Flappy thing is a mini sun visor that doesn't work too well.

For parts try Eurocarparts, GSF or TPS.

I've found the best place for parts is Sere Motors in NI. They can usually do things way way way cheper than the dealers and deliver to your door.

Eith that, or try TPS, but they can sometimes get awkward about selling to the public.

pretty OK with keeping things stock at the moment - the only 'upgrade' I can detect is a Pipercross drop-in filter
