Personalised 'vrs' number plates

Featured Replies

I'm not really one for personalised number plates, but had a spare minute and did a random search for 'VRS'.

Found a couple of tastey ones for surprisingly little money relatively:

F48 VRS (FAB VRS) £1945

FA57 VRS (FAST VRS) £1394

Thought it may interest a few people on here :)

Would be cool to have a plate like that but I would rather spend my money on hybrid turbo powerr! :D

Personalised number plates are God's way of telling you that you have too much money.... !

Plenty of vRS plates out there for alot less, found many at £255 - £405.

Don't forget that - VR55FAB or VR05FAB still counts ;)

That's why I'm not interested in them myself. The fact that they spell specific words, I would have estimated them at more than what they're up for, that's all I meant!

I like private plates.

But wouldn't have one on the VRS as that'd make it too easy to remember for other people... ;)

im one for a private plate that you can keep and is worth transfer to another car eg you name. my ideal plate is RO55CO A but its a bit expensive when i could spend the money on an uprated clutch SMF with LSD and a PD150 hybrid for the fabia.

For that sorta money you buy a Fabia for spares or a second run-about.emoticon-0148-yes.gif

I wanted "CHR15 B", which is my first name and last initial but unfortunately i didnt have the £42,000 that it was being sold for :$$$: :$$$:

That first one's mine (on retention). RegTransfers told me they'd got some interest in it at £750! What a cheek. A search on the DVLA auction website shows what it went for when auctioned, and I'm looking to get at least that.

So how much is that then?

That's me then !!!

To my mind F48 VRS (FAB VRS) at £1945 is way over-priced - and £750 is a reasonable offer. It's a pretty limited market for "VRS" ...

Better to spend your money on a "dateless" reg.

Mine was £255, going to get one for the mazda next.

If it's advertised on a site, check dvla as quite often regtransfers advertise plates they don't own.I saved £300 buying direct from dvla the same reg that regtransfers had for sale.

... and of course a non-DVLA number can be advertised at several sites - when I was offered mine I checked at other sites and it was up at two others, one of them nearly £2k more...

Mine cost £240, i had a look at them a while ago, VR51 EER was about £250 i think. not mental £'s

My car will be for sale shortly so my plate is up for grabs if there's any interest. Its GS56VRS. At the moment it stands for G's VRS.

private plates FTW, i bought mine for £250 :) and it suits me perfectly E11 HES (Elliott Heslop)

Only down side is that i want some pressed german plates and the 1 comes out like 1 not like an L which makes it look more like E11 than what iv got now.

The best VRS plate was originally bought by Shifty (Dave), and then went onto Harry_vRS I think.

WH05 VRS.

Use them on a public road and you will be well on the way to a Fixed Penalty Notice.

i've got 2 private plates haha :)

one currently on the car is JA53 VRS which was left on by jase. Mine that i will be putting on the car is J11 NBF and my names Jan B Fearn and the 11 i put the screws in middle on top to make an A. Mine was only 250 and got it for me 21st. the vrs one will be for sale once deocuments are through :)

I bought FA57 LOU for my wife (louise) a few years ago straight from DVLA for about £400.

FA57 BUG was also about £400 and is on a new beetle.

My new car has S777 VRS on it, but it's not a plate I would have bought. Was tempted to sell it but I think it's only worth about £250 so not worth the effort.

The Dubmeister pressed steel plates are UK road legal. :)

I have one on the back of my car
