Question about car extras

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

I bought 08 year Skoda Octavia vRS and I checked optional extras in main Skoda. On a list was a PK7 Kessy- keyless entry. I know that means I can get in the car, so I don't have to use a key and switch on a car from a start button. But I don't have a Start button in my car.

Does anybody have same extra and how it works??

Best,

Jan

i never heard of KESSY system being available on any of the octavia range!!

the superbs do, however.

i'd b surprised if u have it!

So you bought a second hand car and ticked for an option of keyless entry?

Unless it is an Irish spec thing it is certainly not avaliable on the UK spec Octy.

This could only happen on an IRISH spec thing (Car ?)

To be able to tick the options in the spec and have it installed on a second hand car is great.

Why can't we have it on the UK cars?

Dear friends, thanks for answering. I write down all my car extras what I have: Optional extras:

1.PDB RC alarm +towing protection

2.PH0X electric sunroof

3.PKCX REAR CUP HOLDER + ASHTRAY

4.PK7 KESSY- KEYLESS ENRTY

5.PWO HEATED FRONT SEATS

6.SAT NAV

7.RA1 DIGITAL SOUND SYSTEM

8.7x2 parking distance sensor F&R

9.T1 HEATED WASHER NOZZLES

etc...

List will go one but question is on a 4.PK7 KESSY- KEYLESS ENRTY. I have seen a VW Phaerton and I know how it works. But my Skoda don't let me in and there no any start button.

This Skoda Octavia should be with fully extras and Irish car and for me it seems that the KESSY SYSTEM is only on a list but actually it's not installed to the car.

How funny it sounds but car is 08 and 1300 km. It's like a brand new car. Yes, it's an Irish car..

A most interesting observation which I am sure is correct for the Irish market.

I too do not have a number of extras which are on the options list but not installed on my car.

I know this is correct as there are places for these to be fitted and they are shown in the handbook.

As I'm touring Ireland next year would it be a good idea to get them fitted over there as they do not charge

for this work as it's obliviously their fault.

As it is a Skoda Octavia I agree it should have them all fitted, so should I go back to the Irish dealer

and have them fitted or just reject the car.

The car will be 8 years old on 01/04/2012 and only covered 105.000 miles.
