Hi my name is mike and im new to this web site and been told that if you need help with the skoda this is the place to be so i hope someone can please help me as i have a few thing wrong with my car and it's really doing my head in. Right here goes first of all the car is an octavia 1999 1st thing wrong the cig lighter wont work i have checked and replaced all the fuses all perfect, ive checked the connecting block that attatches to the cig ligther and there is no power going to it anyone any ideas what it could be? 2nd thing wrong the wiper stalk is broken and ive been everywere to get one but no joy if anyone is breaking a car that has 1 i will buy and can you tell me how to o about fitting please as ive tried to take the old 1 off but it looks like you need to take the air bag off and would need to be told. and last but not least i think the boost solenoid is cream crackered as it's not hitting the boost like it should and it is making a strange noise like a clicking sound so if anyone has 1 for sale i will buy. sorry for rambling on but it is really doing my head in any help will be very much appreciated thanks.

Hi and welcome, allthough I am very much a newby also.

If there's no power getting to cig lighter and you've check the fuse it would be a case of tracing the wiring back and look for a split wire or something.

Also on the wiper stalk bit - if you have access to ebay contact deejay0127 . He is in Sandbach, Cheshire and is breaking a 2002 octavia. I've had a couple of bits off him and he's a good guy. Contact him as it's a postable item and he won't rip you off.
