Hope you could help me. Got a second hand Superb MK1 (2005, AZM, 3U4, 2.0, petrol). Yesterday decided to clean the throttle body. It was full of oil and burnt stuff sticked on. Cleaned it with Wurth carb cleaner as much as I could (didn't let it swimming in the cleaner). Started to think of where all that oil could come from, so started to do some "reverse engineering". Straight away found a shed loads of oil in the air intake duct as well, but just in the half close to the throttle body. Cleaned that one as well with a dry cloth. While I tried to completely remove that air intake duct, found out, there is a pipe connected to it (with a gasket in-between). That pipe comes from underneath. That connection was slightly loose, and instead of the original factory plastic clips it was held by some sort of silicone sealant. Removed the silicone stuff (that was only on the top half) and the pipe came out right away. Tried to clip it back, but it looks like broken on the air intake duct's side. Not a big deal, I was about to order another one to replace that broken part. Well, easier to say than to get one. After a long time of search, managed to find out, this part has the following part number: 06B133354P or 06B 133 354P. I can't find it anywhere in the UK online, however can see it in China and Russia. Does anyone have the faintest idea where could I get a brand new one, OEM part?

I've done a TBA after the cleaning and the small lag I had earlier on looks like gone. Temporarily I used some insulation tape and silicone sealant to connect that pipe to the air intake duct, but I have a bad feeling it won't last forever...

Could that oil waste settle down in the air intake duct and the throttle body due to a leak at that broken duct? I believe it takes some "false" air in at that crack/gap as I even can hear a slight hissing noise from that direction when I accelerate.

I am not that keen to take the car to a garage with a broken plastic issue. I can imagine they would charge a fortune with a story of how impossible is it to get that part and how many hours it would take to replace it and yada-yada-yada.

On that note, I am also on the hunt for some proper hose clips. Namely all the clips that are belonging to those hoses and ducts connected to the throttle body. Something like a screw type for easier access in the future. Could anyone give me the exact sizes that I am looking for?

Thanks for that. Haven't tried Allams yet, neither the local dealer. The other day the local dealer quoted something like £430 for an annual service that I didn't go for. The job was done by a recommended garage in the area for £230 (and could be done even for £160 at the closest garage, but they looked a bit odd). I will give a go for Allams, and we will see. At the moment I try Eurocarparts, maybe they can get hold of it.

For specialist parts like this either a dealer or a breakers yard will be the place to go, I wouldn't think the likes of eurocarparts will be able to help. Ask your dealer you may well be very surprised at the price.
