Rear door wind noise

Featured Replies

Hi all.

Bought a 06 vrs the weekend and i've noticed a bit of wind noise coming from the rear passenger door.I have read that this could be down to the window frame between the rear window and quarterlight glass and is fixable by adjusting the framework slightly.Anybody had this and if so how did you fix it.

Regards.

Mark.

I've read on here before, wind down rear window, use something as thick as a number plate and put it into the recess where the window was, the part where the two windows join and give it a tap.

That will cure it.

This does work you can always use a drinks coaster as thats what I used plus use a rubber mallet and evenly tap up & down the bar it only moves ever so slightly but you do notice the difference

Apologies for bumoping a month old thread, I've been meaning to post about this for a while.

Before I go out to the car park and start bashing the rear windowframe, do I do this at the B Pillar side or back at the C-Pillar?

[EDIT] Apologies again, I've seen this thread, just the ticket:

I had wind noise when I pick up our car when it was new. I put the window down and opened the door then put the inside of the door against my hip and grad the top of the door and pulled it in. Wind noise was cured and had perfect shuf lines.
