STEERING - VRS CR

Featured Replies

I have a Skoda VRS CR Estate, new on the 1st of March.

Its covered about 16000 miles, has had a full four wheel alighnment (due to tyre wear). It has Continental Sport contact 3 tyres all round. Originaly had DunFLOPS.

The Steering is fine most of the time, but if I really drive it hard for 5 mins on winding roads the steering starts getting floaty and looses all feel. It almost feels over assisted. The Dealer has checked it and is saying its OK.

I had a Golf GT tdi 57 plate, which I think is almost the same car and this never did it.

Any Ideas Please.

I know it may sound simple, but are they overinflated? a bit of hard driving to heat them up, and overinflated tyres would give that feeling...
