Bought from Lightcliffe Skoda in Halifax in 2005. I am the second owner. It has been regularly serviced at my local garage since purchase.

Ready to sell. Just been valeted. Have a skoda dog guard which can be negotiated separately.

Selling as no longer have a dog and require an estate car.

Bodywork has usual kind of scratches and a oouple of car park thumb dents.

Good/Bad Point - It has recently had a new engine fitted and this engine had done 61000. I have the receipt and details of the other engine which I bought from skan4x4 via ebay contact. I also cant find the glovebox handle (it snaps into place) but fell out one day and can't find it!

because the garage said that without stripping it down they couldn't be sure but were pretty sure it needed a new engine. It was something to do with the oil pump originally. Knowing nothing about the mechanics of the car i trusted that advice and there you go.

It runs as before and I toyed with keeping it but I was going to get a new car at the end of the summer anyway before the engine was put in.

I guess the buyer would never know in reality but I wanted to try on this forum selling it exactly as it is and to gauge opinion. It was and is a great car and like I said I'll keep it if don't get the right money. But seems a shame to sell for £2000 in part ex. Its worth more to me than that

When was the spare engine fitted and how many miles has it done since then? As for the spare engine, is the mileage of 61k confirmed?

Hi, it was fitted on June 15th and has done over 400 miles since including 3 trips across the M62 of around 80 miles.

The oil was changed, filter fitted and air con regassed too.

I have no concerns with the engine and it runs as smooth as before if not better. I just checked the ebay listing when I bought it and apologies it says it had done 67k. I got it from skan4x4. They are listed on ebay as skan4x4 breakers. I have the invoice and will put a pic on if required later.

Like I say I am happy to negotiate but if it doesn't sell then I'm more than happy to head down to Cornwall from West Yorkshire and back in a few weeks and probably keep it if don't get any interest. Its a great car, great for all journeys and excellent for piling up with things for hols or the tip!
