The time has come for me to stop driving around in old bangers and get myself a brand spanking new vRS. When should I buy? Obviously I want it yesterday, but I am being patient and waiting for the right deal. Searching the brokers sites I have come up with a best price of

Don't buy at:-

1. change of reg. times ever - dealers have plenty of business

2. end of calendar year without a really good deal- your car is soon last years model and worth less for ever

Do buy:-

1. in mid summer when dealerships are quiet and money is being spent on holidays

2. at end of month when dealers are chasing the next level of sales bonus

3. at beginning of calendar year for a current year car but get a good deal as 1st March is looming

I'm afraid if it's to be a wedding car there is no candy white option on the fabia vRS.You would need the octavia WRC model

Difficult to say whether there will be any good deals later in the year as the new vRS seems likely to be at least 3k more than the outgoing model. Guess it would depend on how many original models there are left in the country and how keen the dealers are to get rid of them.

PS I think yellow would be great for a wedding car

Luckily she is is bit of a rarity and is shy with my money, so a 'proper' wedding car has been ruled out! As it stands at the moment, she is arriving by boat and I am driving us to the reception in her new Smart ForTwo! Grand cost -
