Columbus version and software level

Featured Replies

Hi All

I have a May 2010 Octavia Vrs with a Columbus unit with no mods or updates.

Could someone tell me how to find out what Version my Columbus unit is and what level maps etc.

No Dvd was supplied with the car, a dealer demo.

I am in negotiations with them as to an upgrade to my maps/firmware as my mates one of a similar age is much better !

Any help much appreciated.

no idea on the firmware but the maps should be V7 and you should get a nav disc with the car.

You or your dealer need to enable the Diagnostics mode in VCDS then when you start the Columbus you keep the setup button pressed for about 30 sec, and then you will get into the Menu where you can check the Firmware and Maps version and a few other information.
