Diverter Valve

Featured Replies

Hi I just bought an Octavia Combi vRS.

Now I'm reading a lot about different diverter/Dump-valves.

In the past (long ago) I've owned a Fiat Uno Turbo and mounting a dumpvalue improved throttle response.

But the Octavia already has a valve, so will it improve throttle response when mounting a different one?

Or will it just be increasing the noise? Don't want the car to be sounding like a boy-racer car ;)

Unless you are having it remapped I would not bother, only helps to maintain boost or helps increase boost but as yours is standard not much benefit

A dv shouldn't make any difference to performance, unless the old one has failed. It HAS to be a diverter valve though, not a dump valve, as dump valves upset the ecu and the jap sound doesn't suit the octy. :D
