Desperately, looking for some advice here. Does anybody know of and can recommend an autolocksmith in the Cambs / Northants area who can lazer cut a blank, remote key fob for an Octavia from the key I have? I realise this probably sounds a bit dodgy but I've had two failed attempts at getting a spare sent from Skoda to my main dealer, both of which haven't fitted the barrel. My local dealer will then program the key and remote to the car.

I'm part ex'ing the car next week and the dealer won't accept the car without a spare key as it's going straight to auction. TBH I wouldn't accept a car without a spare either. I'd only do that if the main dealer in Lincoln, lets say they're called Hennis Dorton for arguments sake, sold you a car stating it had a spare but then after taking delivery it didn't. Tw@7s! I live 1.5 hrs away from them so can't just drop it off for them to sort. I'm still waiting for them to confirm they'll reimburse me with the cost.

I used this company, www.keysinthepost.com who will cut you a key from a photo of your own key blade and then post it to you. It only took a couple of days and I think it was £10 all in. The key works with no problems. If you give them a call they maybe able to do it quicker 01698 660205
