buying my first vrs

Featured Replies

Hi all im looking at buying my first skoda and im looking at buying SKODA FABIA 1.9 TDI PD 130 VRS 5dr Diesel Hatchback. the car has 93k on the clock and has full service history and cam belts changed. what i want to know is what to look out for. all your feedback is much appreciated.

Welocome to Briskoda!

It sounds well looked after to me.

Just all the usual stuff really. If there are minor problems like bald tyres/kerbed alloys then haggle the price down accordingly.

Check for previous accident damage too, espechially in the spare tyre space under the boot and check the front too. A badly fitting front bumper is a likely sign of front end damage.

As above - always worth while getting a report from the AA to see if anything has been recoreded on it, if not I know the AA can actaully arrange to come out and check over the car for a fee, if you are not a tech and don't know what you are looking at then it is an option.
