Key fob inoperative

Featured Replies

Hi all - the red light on the remote key fob stopped coming on and I have to manually open the door - changed the battery in the fob but still not working - any ideas? do i need to re programme the fob to the car - I read that you can do this by using the spare key in the ignition and then put the remote key in the drivers door - cheers

Mine stopped working and I promise you I just gave it a good wack and it worked again, I swear this actually worked, don't blame me if it dosent though!

My original stopped working too. Though the red light still shone, it wouldn't lock/unlock.

Long story short: I bought a new rear end of the key from "Key Services" on eBay for around £22. Followed the instructions regarding coding and now have two working keys again.

There's a load of info on youtube about these keys including how to split them and where to read the part number etc.
