Featured Replies

got my self a demo for 2 weeks of the snap on veridct any one got one or use one

just looking for ur thoughts on them

steven

my wife really likes hers.

..........

sorry, i thought you meant strap-on

I am assuming you mean Snap-on Verdict. At around £3k it isn't cheap. I had one on demo.

The Verdict is basically a mini-tablet PC running Windows XP. I like the idea of bluetooth modules (OBD and DVM) and the scope functions, but it falls short when compared to VCDS - no long coding helper, etc.

If you need a scanner that supports ALL cars, then it may be an option.

yeah its not cheap i have had it for a day and really like it ,

we also have a bosch kts and a launch x431 but its the socpe i really like how its wirelss to an extent

down side is its only 2 channel but i can think i have ever needed to use a 4 channel socpe yet

steve

Trade only I would imagine? VCDS looks like a pittance to buy compared to that! :D

They are promising other wireless addons. I might look again when the remote throttle, remote electrical switchbox and remote 'suck/blow' box are available, but for now it is just too expensive.

If you have the £3k, I'm sure your local Snap-on guy will be round within the hour :)

I will stick with VCDS thanks :D I don't really care about other marques :D

Everything Snap On is grossly overpriced including their diagnostic equipment. Also we have a Snap On scanner at work and quite frankly it's crap. In the flyer I get every month is a Blue Point EOBD scantool which is reduced at £199.99 + VAT. I have an Autel MS509 Maxiscan which does everything that the Snap On brochure says the Blue Point one will do but I paid £63 for mine. To me that's a no-brainer.

To answer your question specifically I also have VCDS, and not only do I think it's brilliant, I like to see anything beat it in terms of value for money.....
