Centre front 12v socket

Featured Replies

Just the other day My son wanted to look around in my car so took him out. He managed to find swmbo's spare car key that I had taken with me that day so I could move her car out of the way in the morning. Before I could stop him he'd picked it up and said 'put it in here..' and placed it into the 12v socket at which point a spark appeared..... Now it doesn't work...great.

My question is has this just likely to have blown a fuse, and where is it? I'm hoping too it's located in the main fuse panel.

I think it's in the panel on the right side of the dash - that the door closes up against. I know the rear socket fuse is in there.

Fuse 24 for the cigarette lighter socket, 25A fuse. And yes, located in the passenger compartment fuse board.

Really? I read a few other threads when I was preparing to sort my additional 12v socket and I'm sure they all mentioned a 15A fuse.

I was a bit surprised at the size too. That's manual what the manual states though. P232 IIRC....
