climatic problem

Featured Replies

The air con in 2003 fabia 1.9TDi stopped working - I have just had it checked out, pressure tested,re-gassed, even tried a new compressor - still not working - as there is power to the compressor, the guy thinks it maybe the climatic control module. I have seen many times on here about heater flaps - could this be creating the problem as well.

any ideas would be good - if you think it is the module, where is it located and are they specific to the car, easy to change ? - if it may be the flaps what would I need to do -

thanks.

Take it to an a/c specialist. It is easy to test a compressor, so I'm not sure why it was replaced if it hadn't been confirmed as faulty.

It could be something as simple as a broken wire or a plugged drier.

I would have thought that a FULL scan of the car would show any faults with flap motors or climate control module.

Thanks - the old compressor was put back as the system still didnt work - when the lead to the compressor was tested it showed the correct voltage - however when the control valve from the compressor was connected the voltage dropped to zero -

From memory, the signal to the N280 valve is a 500Hz PWM signal. How was it tested?
