where can i get the vagcom?

i already use a maxi scan

and i have a lead from obd to the computer usb connection

can i download it from bit torrent?

or can some one burn a copy for us?

VAG-COM (been called VCDS for sometime now) needs a proprietary lead, any talk of torrents and illegal versions will see this thread deleted. The only official sources are Ross-Tech themselves or a UK reseller.

and thank you for a clear answer,are there many types of cables? and only a vagcom or vcds (mannyo) will do?

this vag stuff is alien to a merc man !

VCDS is the best know and most copied, for a good reason - it is without doubt the best which is why so many people try to copy Ross-Tech's interface (cable) the customer service they give is second to non and ALL updates are free, which IMO is why their interface and registered product is worth every penny of the £260 it costs.

Try getting technical support from any of the many eBay sellers of the cloned cables and you may (if you are lucky) get help in getting your laptop to recognise the cable, after that you are on your own!!
