Hi all,

I must have read every post on here about mdi options and what works and what doesnt.

So just a quick poll what do you have connected to your Fabia via the MDI port.

Went to pc world/currys and comet today to check out options. - Dont worry I wont be buying from here I know they are a rip off! But I just couldnt quite workout which would fit best in the slot you have at the side of the port.

Cheers

ipod

250gig seagate goflex, you just need to format it FAT32 and it works.

I have 2 ipods, the 120gb ipod is full and my other is 160gb with only 50gb spear on it and it is all music.

Was about to get a Samsung G2 but then saw this for £31.47 inc delivery from pcworld/currys on Ebay from all ppl!

any terabite HDD's fit in it?

Could easily store more music than possible to hear, but still enough space, just encase :p

I use an 8Gb USB Memory Stick - more than enough and can change my music easily enough - still get a good 1,500 to 2,000 tracks.

I have an 8gb usb-stick + my optimus2x with 8gb memory on it... still way more then I need!!

I was looking at a hdd but to be honest I used a spare USB flash drive to try it out and found it works great no delay in-between tracks and holds more than enough and the missus has one with hers on there. I got quite a few albums on there but is there anyway I can shuffle the entire collection rather it shuffles the current album

Yes,

Place a single MP3 file at the root of the drive, play this first and it should then shuffle play across all the folders.

the problem with the WD passport drive, is that they used to block access to the drive unless you had installed software on your PC which means it won't work on the MDI. There were a lot of complaints at the time so I don't know if they still do.
