Best Polish/Wax?

Featured Replies

Looking for the best polish or wax to get that showroom shine. Ive used Autoglym HD wax which is pretty good but fancy a change, any suggestions?

I have been using Collonite 476S but just changed to AG HD wax this year.

Only other option i considered was something DoDoJuice based - but too expensive!!!

Swisswax Oynx, Megs 26, CG 50/50.

DodoJuice Supernatural Hybrid Wax

OR

Bilt Hamber Finis or Hydra Wax

Swisswax Oynx, Megs 26, CG 50/50.

Not at £56 a tub :S

When you say Polish or Wax, these are two very different products, are you after one that will do both or looking for some form of sealant to get the shine?

Are you after druablity or just instant shine for a few weeks?

Stick with that you have Steve, I really don't think that the Dodo waxes are that durable.......

Cheers Simon.

Must admit that Dodo Juice Supernatural looked great after Martin detailed the R36, but after a few washes seemed weak.

Now re-applied 2 coats of AG-HD wax and when it comes to wash time the snow foam refuses to cling to the car! :giggle:

Very happy with AG-HD for the money; but like Collonite 476S for that tough winter protection option

how about finish kare 1000p. only £18 for a massive tub and can be used to protect alloys and exhausts as well.

Agree with you there Anthony, currently using a lot of this, good solid product and good value for money......

Interesting - i will research some more on the suggested Finish Kare 1000p.

Interesting you mention it is good on alloys too - as thats something i'm looking for.

Currently using Poorboys Wheel Sealant - but not convinced its that durable.

Apologies for drifting slightly off topic - but an all in one solution for wax and alloy sealant sounds great!

Poorboys Wheel Sealant is not that durable, a couple of weeks tops, you can use FK1000P or 476s and it will be a lot more durable around 3 months if your washing your wheels with the right products.....

Thanks again Simon - nice one

Opti-seal is great for paintwork and alloys. No need to buff as well!

I know it's an old thread, but I think this is the best un-biased test done.

SCN - Biggest Wax Test Ever
