Hi,

Got a problem with my 07 diesel vRS. It will not fire when started, engine turns over but nothing. I can hear what sounds like a pump priming when the starting and the fuel filter canister is full. From a search of the forums, it sounded like the 109 relay problem. So off comes the lower dash, but no 109 relay can be seen. 395, 460 & 53 can be seen but no 109.

So I am now stumped, anybody got any ideas?

What's the voltage on the battery during cranking? Do you have VCDS??

There is no 109 relay on an Octavia 2

I'd suspect either injector fault or crank sensor, both will show up in diagnostics.

Injector fault could be covered under goodwill warranty depending on service history so I'd get it looked at by your local dealer.

I'd hoped it was something simple I could fix, but I'll get the AA out tomorrow to take it to the garage.
