Hi everyone, first post (please be kind!)

I am in the process of looking for my next car which will be a 6 month ish old VRS! Does it have foot well lighting? Are there any other nice touches to further persuade the Mrs that it will be a good family car!?

Unfortunately the vRS does not have footwell lighting, but it is a very solid, spacious, well built car. It's little things like that that make it a better family car than something small, unreliable but with footwell lights

Still, if gadgets float your boat then get one with maxi-dot and you can tinker with all sorts of settings. And you can get autolights (if you can't work out that it's dark) and autowipers (if you can't figure out that it's raining) as an option

As above the VRs does not have footwell lighting and also due to its budget nature (you get a lot of car for the money) it does not have too many flash touches unfortunately (do not even get soft return pull handles for passengers). What you do get is a very solid, reliable, down to earth car that is reasonably quick as well for not a lot of money (when compared to a similar performing golf or A4).

If the flashy bits are important then you probably need to look at a different make of car.

of course nothing to stop you fitting all that nice lighting to your Skoda, for a lot less than the difference to buy the equivalent VW/Audi car

Footwell lighting can be added, not a massive job - just a loom and some lights from a VW/Audi and away you go - but I don't really notice TBH as I'm not looking down at the floor when I get in the car

Hope you manage to swing the decision though, without this important component :p

The rear ones, front seats have holes for them, are of a trunk interior lighting, from a golf.

After week 22/2010 it´s like this. I have done it in all 4 seats.
