VRS pulling to the left - alignment in London/Surrey

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've read lots about this inherent problem with certain VW group cars. Seems that the rear wheel slip angle is off, or somthing like that.

One way of fixing it is to put shims in the rear suspension somewhere - I've looked at the how-to and it seems very involved. I won't be doing it.

My question is: Has anybody in the South London/Surrey area found a wheel alignment place that not only knows about the problem, but can also compensate their alignment to fix it?

I have had the alignment checked by Unit 8, and Ali says that it is fine. It's needs more than just aligning.

One of the reasons I got rid of my last car was that it pulled to left and nobody could fix it. I am currently trying to sell mine, but I'min no rush, so to sort this ut would be good.

Jut to add, yes, I do know all about road camber. The other family car does not pull to the left, my old Golf GTi mk2 that I sold last year did not pull to the left; the Fabia does pull to the left, full stop.

Many thanks, it would be great to get it sorted!

Try alignmycar to find a centre near you that does the full four wheel alignment.

If I was down that way I'd use Tony Bones at Wheels in Motion - Chesham Bucks. He is an alignment legend in MX5 circles...

My 2005 Fabia VRS has pulled left since day one from new, Skoda told me it's torque steer, and a trait of the car.

Has been discussed many times with members who have tried to eliminate problem with very little success nor effect.
