I live in Guernsey and I used to own a Black Fabia vRS MK1 which I loved !

I'm now thinking of buying a MKII

Just a question for people with the Amundsen Sat Nav option.

Does it have a map of Guernsey on it. I've never had sat nav as theres not much point on an island, but sometimes it would be useful if I can't find somewhere or I visit the UK.

The current maps on the new Amundsen Plus don't appear to cover the CI (Based on my 3 week old Superb having an Amundsen Plus with the latest maps), and I am pretty sure this is the unit that would be supplied now on a new vRS. I work in Guernsey a fair bit and use my Android with Sygic navigation if and when I need to, it does have Guernsey maps, but the pronunciation is sheer comedy

I am sure my amundsen with upgraded maps does CI its part of the uk

Well I checked tonight and the latest maps on the Amundsen Plus have no Guernsey towns (Tried St Peter Port), or reference to Guernsey or Channel Islands as a country. Can't Find St Peter Port or any Guernsey street names under UK either (don't hate me for the UK thing, but it was worth a try.)

skodaman amundsen sat nav does work in guernsey 100%, LOOKED FOR ST.ANDREWS no problems candie street, so its definate works in the channel islands

Amundsen and Amundsen Plus are different units though, it's not there on the Amundsen Plus. They are made by different manufacturers and by the looks of it may use different maps. Amundsen Plus is made by Technosat.

I have the upgraded set up for the amundsen to + and its definate there, check it by town in uk and street its works fine on mine

I tried, Pitronnerie Road, Victoria road, St Peter Port and a few others and nothing ... nada.

Can't try it anymore as I switched to a Columbus.

So do you have an Amundsen Plus (RNS 315), which is what the OP would get if he ordered a vRS now?

Hi I have the amundsen pre upgrade, however few weeks after receiving the car found out it model was upgraded to + plus, I couldnt get 7 digits so I complained HARD and eventually had the discs to upgrade to the higher info, and checked it and it does work fine just tried one address and worked
