folding mirrors

Featured Replies

Hi so i have a 2.0tdi se spec with folding mirrors that operate of the rotary switch on the drivers door .

My question is , can these be operated by the key on closing and opening of the door cant seem to find anything in the handbook either way ??? :| many thanks in advance for any help ;)

Not sure about the SE spec, but try holding down the locking button on the remote for 3 or 4 seconds.

Yeah tried that but to no joy :(

like he said, when locking car hold the lock button down until the mirrors folds in. Works on Elagance trim for sure.

<edit> I leave the rotary control in the '0' position

Don't know if it will make any difference, but on my Elegance I've got the mirror button set on the nearside mirror (so that the nearside mirror dips when reversing) and both my mirrors fold with the remote locking button being held down. Have you tried the rotary knob in various positions when operating the remote? Otherwise, I've no further suggestions, sorry.

Press the lock button = the doors lock.

Press and hold = if some windows are open, they will close if not the mirrors wil fold.

If there was a open window release and press/hold again to fold the mirrors.

Works on Ambition(DK) I think it's almost the same as a SE model.

On my SE Plus all I do is hold the lock button in on the remote for a few seconds and the mirrors fold.

Not tried with a window open so can't comment on that yet.
