VRS interior trim

Featured Replies

Could I ask a favour from some fellow vRS owners please:

My vRS, picked up on Monday, has a piece of sound deadening material hanging down at the front of the top of the passenger footwell. On closer inspection it looks like the there is a missing or broken bit of plastic at the bottom of the facia below the glove box on the right hand side.

I have been back to the dealership who after a 5 second look said "I think it is supposed to be like that". They are going to order a new bit of sound mat and refit it but I am not convinced about the plastic.

Could I ask a couple of MY12 vRS owners to have a look at the bottom right hand edge of the facia below the glovebox and tell me if yours looks like it has a bit missing please.

Thanks in anticipation guys.

Take it to another SKODA dealership for second opinion and have their mechanics have a good look.emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Have a look if possible at a car resembling your model on the forecourt yourself, you know what you are looking for.emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Assuming you are talking about an old Fabia VRS MK1 and not a new Fabia VRS MK 2, I have had a look at my 2005 Fabia VRS, and have nothing hanging down.

Can only guess previous owner pulled lining down to access firewall/bulk-head area.??

No mate, brand new MY12 Fabia Mk2 vRS.

The next nearest dealership is miles away, but the forecourt/showroom idea is sound if I get no joy from our fellow Briskoda users.

Ok heres a pic under my glovebox. It is cheap and crappy under there. Mine wasn't even fitted in right, sorted it out after seeing the photo

hope it helps if not put a pic up of the bit you are talking about

Edited by harryweld

mine has all been ripped out..... thats because I had a dual brake fitted though :giggle:

A photo would be good here mate. Instantly tell you whether it looks broken or not

Mine's the same as the pic Harry posted.

Thanks guys, mine is exactly like that, looks like it was put together in the bloody dark!

Thanks to all.

Mine is the same, there is no plastic cover there as it's for the footwell heater vent, yeah it could be tidier but it's out of sight. I don't have the bit hanging down though, suspect it's maybe been caught by someone's foot.

Yuk. Gonna check mine now this weekend ! Although its hidden the pictures dont make Skoda look very proffesional

If you think it looks bad in the pic wait to you see it in real life

Totally normal, mine has never fitted properly, just a flimsy piece of foam, that seemingly does nothing! Might remove it. :wonder:

Checked mine today and it looks better than your picture - although not perfect. I was not able to take a picture - kids mucking about and running riot trying to get out the car. Ill try and get into it tomorrow and get a shot.

I had to change the cabin filter and when I looked below I saw the same cheap plastic cover which if someone makes funny moves with his feet will surelly make it drop to the floor. Oh well it can't be seen so no big deal.

well, I ve looked on mine and it's the look's like your's but if you look on driver side you have the same thing: so I think it's the arrival from the ventilation system for driver's and passenger's feet. I'll gonna test it next time I'll drive my firby (sorry for my bad english :p )
