OUCH! looks like a painful bill for my dad!! Anyway, as you all know, 205/50 R17.....from mytyres.co.uk they are lookin all around

Vredestein Sportrac 2s . Auto-Express's top favoured tyres.

Stay away from Kumho's. Fantastic in the dry, but not really good in the wet.

Change to 215/45/17s or 225/45/17s

um have you actually tried the kumhos...?

an octy using them was featured in a scooby mag blowing the scoobs into the weeds.......

On my Leon runing 225/40 ZR18's, I find the Goodyears to be better than the Vredesteins... the Vredesteins seemed to lack feel, and the grip on the goodyears, especially in the wet is significantly better...

Agree you should change to 225/45 R17 as well - same rolling diameter, cheaper tyres, and you'll then be running the same size as Audi, VW & Seat do ;)
