Late delivery payments

Does anyone know if I'm still entitled to claim late delivery payments for W18+ and W25+ if I've signed an order which shows delivery on W46, (the order was placed on W21)

Hi

I sent an email to SUK with a few queries. The 'goodwill' payments was one of them. They rang me a couple of days later. In a nutshell they told me that cars ordered in 2011 would not receive the week 18 £150 goodwill as buyers were aware of the waiting time when they ordered!! However they went on to say a single payment of £300 would be made after the 6 months wait, 26 weeks I think I was told?!

So doing the maths you must be close. Personally I'd sooner get the car! Though if it's only a week wait over the time limit you'd get both!

I'm not sure he said 26 weeks (bad memory) but it was something aroung then. Maybe ring SUK customer services.... then post the answer? It helps me to see it written down! My dealership said they weren't aware of any goodwill payments, that's why I contacted SUK who said £300 (possibly M&S vouchers?)

I am a few days short of 18 weeks now. SUK tell me no build week yet!The positive is only a couple of months to my £300. Surely they try to get the cars through to avoid making the payments!

Thanks Geja, SUK are phoning me on Monday about a different matter, I'll ask and post re the £300 combined payment at 26wks from order.

Thank you. I would be most interested. My cars (provisional) build date is 42 weeks after order placed!

buyers were aware of the waiting time when they ordered!!
I would be very interested to know who made buyers aware of waiting times greater than 18 weeks. My dealer certainly did not and I saw no big signs in the dealership saying any orders placed in 2011 will take at least 6 months to be delivered. I was given an estimated 7 June delivery on a 3 March order which I signed up for. The latest update I have is that the car is on it's way from Tyne docks to Scotland but it is now 21 weeks since I placed the order.

I definitely got this message from SUK, whether other staff are repeating the same message would be interesting to know - and according to another message in this thread we may see a posting soon of another conversation on this topic from SUK>

As a matter of interest, delighted your monster seems to be on its way but what model is it please?

I've now been waiting 17+weeks with no news at all I'd been interested in knowing! I ordered 24/3/11.

Re Late delivery payments. Have just spoken to a delightful chap, John Good(e?), at Skoda UK. John is also a Briskoda site member, he says that late delivery payments were in place only for cars ordered up to 31/12/2010 and no compensation is currently on offer for late deliveries. My Yeti, ordered on week 21 is on a provisional build week 45, 2nd week of November, add 5 days to build and then 3.5 weeks to Emden and then the trip to Sheerness, then to the dealer for PDI etc, if it stays at this date should take delivery 1st week of December :'(

Now here's something!!!

Following your information from John Good(e?) I emailed SUK for clarification as we'd had conflicting news. I received a telephone call within half an hour. Firstly, goodwill is on an individual case BUT if I get to week 28 with no monster I will get £300 (probably in vouchers) no question. I'm told the dealers should tell buyers that it's 28 weeks wait, then over that a goodwill £300!!!

Now the even better news..... AT LAST I have a provisional build week! Week 37. This puts me just inside the 28 weeks I think. So ordered March 24th prov build week 2nd week in September. This is my first news since ordering! Watch this space......BUT be aware 28 weeks then goodwill it seems!

This is exceeding strange!different advice is being given out from the same office it would seem.Is the 28wks you quote based on Build Week or actual delivery? I'm pleased you've got a provisional build week and hope it shortens further, it's the waiting that's the killer! :envy:

Given that Skoda Customer Services is outsourced to a call centre in Leeds - are you at all surprised?

Some (well many actually) of us have unearthed a catalogue of misinformation from there including the now legendary - "if we don't know we Google it"

Unbleedinbelievable!

I said on the phone there was conflicting messages coming from SUK offices. She said she had checked her information before getting back to me! I'd asked for an email reply but don't think they like putting stuff in writing!

Whether 28 weeks is based on build or delivery I'm sorry I'm not sure though I would have thought if you buy something surely they can't argue it's ready then you wait a few more weeks to actually get it! Think I'll be arguing the case if delivery is after 28 weeks!

I have also seen several people on this site who get a provisional build week ending up a few months later as the date approaches, the date can change a few times yet! Hope we get them before Xmas!!

The weeks are counted from the date on your order form, or from a few days after, when you get an official order number from Å koda UK and then to the date of delivery. Not build week since something might still happen (to the car) after it was built that is Å koda or your dealer's fault, that might prolong delivery even further...

As to the wait. I waited seven months and you will be amazed at how quickly it goes! Good luck!

"date of delivery" -- to dealer or customer?

"date of delivery" -- to dealer or customer?

My late delivery was not as close a call as that to being done or not... so I don't know sorry!

I ordered when my order form AND the dealer said 12 weeks max to wait! Pah. The good old days. I was one of the very first to wait seven months due to the sunroof saga (ordered my car with sunroof two weeks before they stopped taking sunroof orders). Hence my seven month wait and it very clearly being their fault). The latest delays are industry wide (or at least VAG-wide) and becoming the norm hence the late delivery payments now being moved to an alledged 28 weeks.

So we have another grey area :wonder:

Mine is not a monster it's a Roomie and I went to see it (still in it's wrappers) at the dealer yesterday. So from my order in March it has been 21 weeks to get to the dealer. It is an SE spec so has a sunroof and it is a 1.2 105hp 7 speed DSG setup. The extras I asked for were spare wheel, airbag on/off switch, 3rd head rest, cruise control, climate control and fog lights.
