Elegance vs Se plus

Featured Replies

I currently drive a 59 plate Octy vrs diesel 170 bhp which I'm due to change at Xmas.

Have been looking at a suberb elegance combi 170 bhp diesel as a replacement.

What has the elegance got over the se plus spec wise apart from the leather?

I briefly had Q7 at work and loved the leather/suede seats.

Are these the same as in the se plus?

Pics would be helpful for wheel spec etc

Thanks

Rather than just list the differences which can be got from the skoda website here or from the brochure here I'll give my own example.

Looked at SE Plus because I much prefer the Alcantara in the SE and SE Plus over the leather in the Elegance.

By the time I had added a few extras that I was going to odd on the Elegance plus the Bi-Xenon headlights I was £240 within the Elegance price, and if I added the Luxons which are NCO on Elegance the SE Plus was more expensive.

And still the Plus only had Amundsen radio/satnav which is OK if same as one on Passat albeit minus the DAB.

SE Plus has sunset glass which not espcially keen on.

MDI Interface which just don't need, all my music etc will fit on an SD card easily.

So bit of a no brainer really for me, but can understand how SE Plus would be of interest to anybody whose car allowance / budget won't stretch to Elegance.

PS the UK brochure is not that good for pictures imo, the Swedish one is much better here however you have to be careful as the standard specs are quite different and there are some options available that are not possible to add in UK spec vehicles.
