tyre dressings

Featured Replies

just sealed my wheels ( 2 coats) of Jetseal 109. Wheels are looking ace and happy with the protection. Now i want to dress the tyres to make them look slick and black ( you get the idea lol) any products you would recommened?

cheers

Dan

i use meguiars high endurance tyre gel, costs about £9 and you can normally pick it up from your local halfrauds. lasts about 2-3 weeks depending on conditions

Use their foam applicator but ensure the tyre wall is spotless, use some strong APC and scrub it with a bit of sponge.

I also recommend the endurance gel as wel as zaino perfect tire gloss. Altho neither of them stick to my new federals? :(

Not me no............

Big AS Highstyle fan here although I currently have a new Tyre Dressing on test from a Detailer I have been given, seems to work well and like Z-16 depending on how many layers you add the wetter the finish........

Worth pointing out that all tyre dressings will be different on different branded tyres as wilsy7 has pointed out........

I am afraid that it's from a company called Autosmart, you can buy it from one of their local distributors but only in 5L quantity for around £15, you will probably be OK with Megs Endurance Tyre Gel though from Halfords........

I have some and used it once, after scrubbing the tyres with a tyre brush, and put on two coats. It looked amazing, but after some driving in the rain and a long trip it had pretty much disappeared.
