fabia 2 electric windows fail

Featured Replies

Hi There,

I own a Fabia 2 with electric frontdoor-windows. They stopped working a while ago, both at the same time an from either switch.

I recently found out that they do work when the car has been a while in the sun and therefore is hot. (always!!)

Checked switches, they work properly and also fuses are okay. I can't see any damage on cables, but I suspect a broken cable. Any idea what cable (color)I should inspect and where to find it?

Thanks ahead for any assistence.

Arno

Did you try to reset them with the key?

If the car has warranty, take it to the dealer

Door wiring looms are very common, check inside the rubber boot. Failing that pop off the door trim and check motor contacts for corrosion, but motors are pretty common. Drivers one does also control the passenger side.

key reset gives no reaction, I also tried it after disconecting the battery.

Think I have to go for the option tech1e gives.
