Just got myself a sensation. Love it!

The XE looks nice but doesn't have/do anything over the normal sensation that would make me want to spend the extra dosh.

Plus the price you can get a sensatioon unlocked on ebay is great

just ordered the sensation xe, cant wait for the the beats audio earphones if they sound anywhere near as good as the ones in the shops ill be happy.ive had desire for 18 months now and its been a great phone!

I've read somewhere that the XE isnt duel core, and they've simply overclocked the standard sensation CPU?

I agree the XE is a lot more, but am told the headphones and extended battery make up for it - but guess you could buy these separately.

Just looking for the prices to drop a little more, which they should do with the XE.

You're right. The XE is single core 1.5ghz.

And about the battery. Yes it should fit. As does the Evo 3D 1730mAh battery.

Not in a hurry just yet to ditch the Desire. How low do you think sore prices will go on the Sensation? I'm moving to a 30 day SIM only package as I dont really use the zillions of minutes and texts and can easily use WiFi if I start to max out my 500mb data limit.

That way I can have £10 tariff, and the £30 I'm saving will pay for the phone in 12 months.

hang on just checked the htc website and it says 1.5ghz dual core.

apparently xl is the titan windows phone with android on it and doesnt have a sd card slot,and apart from big screen isnt that good, but dont hold me to that, im happy with choice ive made even though it hasnt arrived yet, theres always newer models coming out with better specs though.

I thought about the HTC Sensation, but when I found out about the meager amount of memory that it has, I dropped the idea completely.

The SGS2 has 1Gb RAM (Sensation 768Mb), 16Gb of Storage (Sensation 1Gb). I then added a 32Gb Cl.10 MiSDHC card to give me a total of 48Gb of storage, well actually about 45Gb of usable space.

I have a 30 day rolling contract with Vodafone UK & for £20.50, I get 300mins of calls, unlimited texts & 1Gb of Web access + virtually unlimited emails.

Prefer the build quality of the HTC. Plus I can't stand Samsungs touchwiz (their version of Sense for android). I think it makes the phone clunky and a cheaper looking UI.

The 768mb of RAM doesn't seem to slow the phone down and it runs very intensive 3D game I throw at it.

sat with sensation xe now , what a nice bit of kit compared to desire, htc sense is fantastic and the beats audio is another thing, how many other phones come with earphones that retail at £90, its also a lot quicker than desire.

I did a looooad of research about the SGS2 and the Sensation - got the Samsung in the end. Put up with it for 2 weeks, sold it and bought a Sensation.

If you haven't had a desire, you'll probably like it. Once you're used to a Desire, the Samsung is a backward step for me anyway - not in terms of features, but the usability of the phone.

For me it's the lack of Samsungs on going support. They launch something, maybe update once, then they've moved on to the next version leaving you high and dry update wise.

I dont see 1gb v 16gb as an issue. Really you only want the on board for apps, and it'd take a lot to fill 1gb.
