Amundsen - 6 changers and Mp3's

Featured Replies

Yeti SE Plus with the Amundsen head unit... and the six slot CD changer in the rear of the car.

Lots of talk about the unit being able to play Mp3's.. but does this only apply to the head unit and not the six CD changer as a disc of Mp3 files in the changer isnt even recognised by the head unit and there's not much point using the head unit as then the sat nav doesnt operate without the disc in it..

The files are written to a CD, theres about 30 odd files, it is spoken word stuff, they are not in folders... alternative is to record them as .wav files but then its more like 10 discs.. :o

I cannot find any reference to the six CD changer unit in the 'Amundsen Guide'....

Equipment or operator error..?

Any responses gratefully received... thanx..

... Oh well.. I'll try Skoda.. this should be fun.. :)

I don't think there are many people out there with this unit yet, hence the lack of replies. I have the Bolero and others will be on Columbus. Think of yourself as a trailblazer!

If it is any help, the boot mounted 6 CD unit in my last Octy (2006) would only play standard CDs - no mp3. wav etc.

Don't know if it is the same now - mine was like this:

Thanks

That looks very much like the unit.....

Trailblazing.. perhaps.. 1500 miles now and I dunno...think I made the wrong move... Superb to Utilty Truck.. :(
