Could you please try:Go onto the Skoda used car locater, click on Yeti and when the results come up click on any of the Yetis up for sale at Alex Lawrie in Liverpool.Every time I try I get get a message saying 'Sorry there has been an error'.I am certain its not just my computer at fault.

I have tried emailing Skoda UK but, just like their dealers they do not bother replying.

Cheers in advance.

Same on my computer, though they have the 110 tdi S on their own website. As above by Ola-H

Just tried and couldn't get any cars at all to show up using the Skoda website car locator.

Alex Lawrie have a website and show only 1 yeti. A 110diesel S model in silver

Skoda Used site shows something like 4 cars for me (using "L1 3RE" as a guessed Liverpool postcode) and all of them come up as "sorry there is an error" when i try clicky on them.

So not you :-)

Thanks for that,so its obviously the Skoda UK website at fault.Went past Alex Lawries the other day the only used Yeti for sale was an 'S',priced at £17495-00.A bit different from their website.

Neither Alex Lawries nor Simpsons at Preston seemed remotely interested in selling me a new Yeti, only second hand ones at or above the price I could get a new one for, just got my new one this week from Allams :)

The Skoda car locator is not the best, I found best way to hone down search was by colour & engine type (diesel or petrol) also selecting leather gave me the type I was looking for (Elegance) if you hit the "back" button, the search lost its setting you had set.

Here is a good question, if I was interested in a 105PS Diesel Montr Carlo Fabia, how would I find it on the search facility? (when you find out can someone advise me)

Probably the best way would be to phone a friendly dealer and ask him to search for you.

Sit back with a cold one and wait for the phone to ring.

On the other hand, maybe you would need more than just the one??

Yes,the second hand prices being asked for by Skoda dealers are still completly unrealistic.

Just to let you know guys-there is a world wide RECESSION going on at the moment.

Are they?

It is called supply and demand:

Skoda cannot supply enough vehicles in RHD

Customers aren't willing to wait for one to be built.

Dealer therefore asks a premium for a "demo" or pre-reg.

It has been going on for years, but only now reached down to the world of Skoda. Have a look at the prices for a Morgan, for example. A 3 month old Aero will cost about 10% more than a new one. And the same is happening to other makes with long lead times.

It would seem that you are going to the wrong dealer! Try Mitchells at Ellesmere Port (claims to be in Chester but it isn't) I have bought a new Yeti from them and a Fabia VRS this year, service is outstanding and they have a fantastic dealership facility.

Neil or David will be more than happy to assist!

And you are surprised?

As far as I know there is only 1 dealer who checks the forum regularly and that's James at Allams

At last!,the link is working. Now it seems although Alex Lawrie are advertising the cars they do not actualy own the cars!?.

Would appear they are in SUK main stock and A.Lawrie will get the car for you if you ask them nicely.

Strange way to try and sell a car.

Plausible deniability as they said in Independence Day. If your dealer does not read the forums then they can not know about the recurring faults that happen with all cars, or new models on the horizon. They can then plead genuine ignorance when you have just bought your new car and the following week your mfr announces a new updated version.

Drove up to Mitchells last year, not one spare parking place for customers despite driving through the site twice.

I found a space between two used cars and was told immediatley to move my car by a very un helpful member of staff.

I did move my car-all the way back to my house!.

There I was a customer with 20K to spend and being treated like a pest!.
