Forge split R

Featured Replies

Lads who uses a split r? I'm thinking of getting one. Have they caused any problems?

I haven't used one myself but I've read they are hard to set up correctly and some people just run it like a normal rec dump valve personally I'd save your cash and get a compbrake one

Compbrake?? Not heard of them yet?

Split R's are crap! Pain in the a*** to set up, I've tried 2 now and both times I've got rid.

Just buy a compbrake (ebay) or forge 007, the compbrake is basically the same as the forge only a lot cheaper.

I have a forge dv006 on it, but just wanted the bitta noise may just put a CAI on it

I've had a split r on for nearly 3 years and I've had no problems at all

Any DV will be louder with a CAI. The 1.8t's don't give off that loud a noise anyway.

Had one on for 2 years, was one of the first things i did, not too bad to set up, but advise you have a boost gauge fitted, only had one problem my spring broke, contacted forge, John sent me a spring out FOC and was an easy fix. only problem i've had, always run recir/atmos for noise. I've now done 40,000 miles in it and no fault codes, always hit full boost and sounds good.
