In car 6v supply needed.

Featured Replies

I'm looking for an in car power supply to power my portable DAB radio. Needs to be 6v dc.

Anyone used one they can recommend?

If you're otherwise stuck, 24v to 12v droppers for using "car" ICE in trucks are fairly common, and have the requisite 2:1 step-down transformer.

Wouldn't cutting a 12v lead in half work? ;-)

If you're seriously asking me to come up to show you how to cut a lead in half then unfortunately I'll have to defer as I'm busy that day-night-week etc! :p

Ken's suggestion should work if you don't think mine will though.

If it's low power you could wire in one of these things:

1A.

What ever voltage you like up to 35V down to a fixed voltage, with a proviso of input is 2V or greater higher than output according to that link:

250mA:

Failing that this is a handy adapter
