I have recently noticed that the drivers side mirror glass on the wifes car is dancing around all the time. Wing mirror shows no sign of being hit by a passing vehicle or anything and the electronic adjustment is working perfect.

Anyone had a similar problem and know what part / parts need replacing ?

Is the mirror secure on the mounting point? I might be tempted to remove it, re-check things behind there and re-fit the glass.

Yeah it feels solid, you can move it around with your hand and it feels solid on the mounts but as soon as you get up to anything like motorway speed its dancing around all the time.

We have just had the Drivers side Glass replaced on the wife's Vrs for the same reason, Glass removed and new one stuck on with strong double sided sticky fixers, Sorted.

The fix with it is quite simple....rotate the up then remove the mirror glass with a plastic lever (from the underside) prising it off. Then you'll see thin metal pre bent stabilising fins, bend them so they create more contact with the mirror housing and refit (pushing firmly so the mirror clicks back in place).

There should be no need to buy new parts or a new mirror!
