Has anybody else been told they have this problem?My engine management light has been coming on and this seems to be the reason.Discuss?

logging with VCDS will confirm this. It can be a problem when the turbo is overboosting and going into limp mode. There will be a fault talking about charge pressure exceeding specified, or something along those lines. If that fault code isn't there, it's unlikely to be sticky vanes.

Like Jason said, it could be absolutely anything if all you really know is the engine management light is on. Fault codes hold the truth. Do you have any other symptoms? Engine light coming on and off could be any number of intermittent faults.
