Skoda Felicia 94mod, fuel injector\filter problem

Featured Replies

Hello, I drive a Felicia 1.6 petrol, 94 mod.. I have problems driving the car as it fades off to engine stop after 1 minute after ignition start. New battery and air filter + oil is added. A friend stated that it might have been the petrol filter causing this, problem is though that the instruction manual is missing, and I cant find out where the filter is attached. Any ideas on this?

If it's the same as the others it's located underneath above an exhaust heat shield near the petrol tank.

Running then stopping could, however, be indicative of an immobiliser issue. Do you have a spare key to try? Does it stop sooner if you rev?

Hi, I am having a similar problem at the moment too, only my engine cutt's out after about 3 seconds. Although I haven't attempted to fix it yet, I can confirm that the fuel filter is under the car as anewman suggests. I located mine earlier on today. Let me know how you get on.

if it cuts off after just 3 seconds its likely to be an immobilizer issue

hi there same as tom said immobiler problems

hi, thanks for your posts and sorry for the late response.

Since my last post i have changed the fuel filter, checked the relays & fuel pump. The car still will only start briefly. You mentioned the immobilizer..do you have any tips on how I could check to see if it is the immobilizer that is causing this, and how I could sort it out?

thanks again.

Do you have access to VAG-COM and a suitable lead? Without that it'll be tough going, I'd think. Cables aren't expensive and the software is free, IIRC.
