Keeping alloys shiny...

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Just wondering what people use to seal their alloys to keep then looking good for longer? What products last the longest?

Recommendations?

Cheers,

Pat

I've heard nothing but good things about Poorboys Wheel Sealant :)

.....apart from the fact it stinks..!.. :giggle:

FK1000p for me. Just as good on wheels as it is on paintwork. Very durable. Huge tin, great value.

I do clay > srp > jetseal 109 and they look great and are super easy to clean all season.

Cheers guys. All three look to have good reviews and super shiny finishes. But I must say I'm leaning towards the Jetseal 109. Some of the pics I've seen with that applied in two layers are amazing!

Married to a good tyre dressing I would agree, the Jetseal 109 is excellent.

Not sure that you should be advertising on here Emma

Glad to hear it  Well done for sponsoring in these difficult times :)

I now use Autogym alloy wheel seal in a spray can........very good for sealing after you clean the wheel....use it on both sets of wheels and the wheels only get cleaned once a year (when they are swapped and put away, as I have a set of winters and summers both on alloys)! B)

Gtechniq C5 has proved to be excellent. Only six months in, but so far it is apply and forget.

It took about 15 min per wheel to IPA wipe down and apply. Only did outside of wheels and the 15ml bottle was ok for all four 18".

Thanks

Steve
