Engine Earth Lead

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am having some interferance issues through my stereo that werent there previously ( a high freq clicking/tapping sound thats proportional to speed, NOTE: this is not a normal engine whine sound that I have heard before in audio installs).

I have checked the entire system and tried replacements of all components. ie, headunit, rca, amps. The entire system is earthed to a single well installed earthing point and when the equipment was installed originally there were no issues at all.

I have also upgraded the battery to chasis earth too with some 0awg, so the only weak link i can see is the engine earth to the chasis.

Does anyone know where this is (Guessing under the battery)? Also, is this lead prone to corrosion?

Any Help would be great.
