Camber adjustment / Bottom Ball Joint

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I fitted new front wishbone bushes and ball joints recently, and when re-assembling I noticed that the 3 holes in the wishbone where the ball joint fixes are slotted, which has the effect of letting the bottom of the hub move inwards/outwards.

Not realising this first, I didn't mark the original position, and therefore don't know where it should be fitted!

I have gone for the outer most position for now, but can anyone tell me where they need to be? I don't want to go and get the car tracked if this setting is fundamentally wrong!

Cheers, Andrew.

Hi Andrew,

They allow a small amount of movement so you can adjust the camber slightly (to be fair not a huge amount) there is no set point of where they need to bit it will differ from car to car.

Sorry to say but you need to get the car GEO'ed so it is correct :)

Mike
