Pollen Filter - Where is it?

Featured Replies

Anyone happen to know where the pollen filter is located on a 1.2TSi?

The air filter is obvious, but the pollen filter...I dunno!

I think it might be behind/under the glovebox. I could be totally wrong, I actually have no idea why I think it's there, just got a feeling.....

Thats where it is on the Octavia, and as it is the same platform I would expect to to be there as well.

It is under the glovebox, exactly the same as the Octavia II and Superb II

When you say "under the glovebox", do you mean you can replace it from inside the car near the glovebox or look for it from under the bonnet on that side ?

That's perfect, thanks Tony. No wonder I couldn't find it under the bonnet eh!

You are welcome, but the thanks should really go to Tim (The Plumber). Who, if my memory is correct, is the original provider of the diagram, and the font of all Yeti knowledge……emoticon-0148-yes.gif!!!!

Anyway – glad it helped……Tony

Interesting; that's about three more steps than changing the filter in an Octavia.

Quick question on this - how do you get the panel off in step 1? Are there some clips behind it that it simply pulls away from?

Hi, yes it just pulls off, then on mine, if you look under the glove box you will see a piece of black foamy type stuff, which has two round plastic screws in it, these are easy to unscrew, only fingers needed. Once they are out ease the foamy stuff down from the back, and with the aid of a torch or work light you will see the pollen filter, pull it to the left and it should come loose and drop down, replacing is the opposite of this, note which way the old one was fitted, and you should be ok.

Cheers - looks like the weekend's weather is perfect for such a task.

I should have said slide to the left, not pull. There are arrows on it but not easy to see.
