Rear Wiper

Featured Replies

Its driving me NUTS !

Every time you put the rear wiper on it scrapes and judders across the rear screen making a right old racket !

Anyone elses do the same? Any fixes?

Vrs is going in soon for a bit of warranty work.

The small clear plastic film on the rear wheel arch was not stuck on properly from new and needs replacing and also the engine/emissions light has been on a couple of times and needs plugging in.

Oh and as you can see from my MPG I think it is running a bit rich. Only 1000 miles but MPG still seems too low. Lots of black oily soot around exhaust

Mine judders and scrapes also my only cure is to not use it or only use it in very heavy rain. As for the mpg that should improve as the miles clock up.

Odd - never had a problem with the wiper. Only thing that happens is that the cover at its base sometimes un-clips.

At least I'm not the only one it annoys. It clears it fine but seems like it has too much pressure on it or the blade is too hard. Will mention it when I take it in

If it judders it needs replacing. The rubber has hardened due to heat or it's simply worn out or the wrong washer additive has been used and that has damaged the rubber. They cost £6.75 plus VAT if I remember correctly. Replaced mine just two weeks ago. Might be worth asking if it's a warranty item but I doubt it will be.
