Personally I think they're a bit daft.

They all sound so different for being the same lol some sound lovely and some are awful. Hit or miss really as no one seems to knows the variables which cause it?

I know what causes good and bad ones. Bore. I had standard bore mufflerectomy and it sounded bad. I then got a milltek turbo back system and replaced the back box with straight pipe and thats how you get a good-un. Milltek size bore.

I don't get what's wrong with buying a big bore or tuned box myself.

Isn't.noise levels part of the.new mot?

had the mufflerectomy done today sounds abit more deeper tone nothing too loud but .... NO owl sound lol how can this be :(

had it done at the local powerflow dealer took and hout to do cost £80

has joined the pipe just above the rear axle with a blueflame style tip oval 6x4 inch tip v51 on powerflow website

funi thing is it did the owl noise as i pulled off in 1st gear from the garage but it was a tad quiet so i thort ill boot it a lil more and nothing happened lol no noise and since then no owl noise :(

Are they?! At current a decat on a diesel is ok, and a mate`s car just passed its MOT with no backbox, so I assumed it was

As long as it passes noise regulations I cant see why is wouldnt be legal, it still has a silencer (the turbo)..lol

But id still be worried personally about over spinning the turbo.

Just had mine done at a bespoke exhaust place in brum, cost me £90 and sounds mega when you boot it

Got a decat and custom backbox....does not spund like a diesel when you hammer it lol like a quiter subaru impreza

nope, i still get a muted version with a miltek full system, and i had a miltek sports cat and a custom mufflerectomy, and that used to owl very loudly, clips are somewhere on here

id quite like the owl sound but the mufflerectomy ant done it so what do o need to do extra??
