Engine warning Light

Featured Replies

Just cleaned out the throttle body on my octavia the next day the orange engine light came on. Before I take it to a garage is there a quick fix to this or is it best to take it in straight away? Should I buy a Vag-com?

Just check stuff round throttle body, ie the gasket and the pipe that sits on top of throttle body

Is your car a turbo'd 1.8 or non turbo?

Did you disconect any wiring?

If you have disconnected the throttle valve how have you carried out the adaptation?

I bet he didn't carry out any adaptations. If it's a non turbo engine, they have cable throttles anyway don't they?

Its a turbo, I didn't disconnect anything, everything looks in place, maybe I tugged on something going to check with a diagnostic tool soon.
