I have just purchased an Octavia Ambiente 1.6i 02 car. Is there any adjustment possible for the clutch? Any assisitance greatly appreciated.

The clutch is hydraulic, so should self-adjust.

If it's low and spongy it may need bleeding, or the hydraulic fluid needs replacing.

OTOH, if it's high and heavy, you may need a new clutch.

Clutch pedal is quite high, to get it to bite, so guess it has not long to go :(

on some 1.6 octavias the clutch works like that if it is not slipping don't change it .
