Hire Octavia

Featured Replies

Hello to everyone.

I`m looking into buying Skoda Octavia mk2 or a facelift but would like to have a proper go on it ... I mean a test drive for at least a day to see how does it fit my daily needs and will it be comfortable for me and my misus to drive it.

The only problem is that I find test drive from Skoda dealer is not enough.

So I turned my eyes to Briskoda for advice from members on where if ever is possible to hire Octavia for a day or to on a hire lease.

I spend hours in google but couldn't find it.

Your help is much appreciated!

Best Regards

Dema

Another thread on here says a member bought from skoda and it turned out to have previous owner as Europcar I think he said! if you have a fabia now you could try when its in for service going to sales staff first say what you need and ask them to make it your curtsey car as your need to get better feel some places do this but might be a long shot.

If you want to get lots of time in one I cant see any sales men having a problem of arranging an extended test drive for a time they are quiet most don't care what you do to car within reason to get a sale!

try national car hire

they use skoda cars they will try and get you a octavia if you ask for one and i think they have discounts online atm

If you explain the purpose of the rental and are prepared to wait until on becomes available locally then you will get one with no problems. You will obviously be limited in terms of spec / engine / options.

I spent a few years at both Avis and National and we always used to get the new models quite quickly. You'd be suprised how many people wanted to rent one for the same reasons you do!

We had one of the first batches of Peugeot 307's, needless to say a few customers returned them earlier than expected :giggle:

Go to a dealer and ask them to have one for a couple of days so that you can get a proper feel of it, I was offered this by Simpsons (Preston and Colne) but didn't take them up it as I was more than happy after the 2 hour or so extended test drive.

If dealer says no then go to next one your a existing skoda customer looking to upgrade they should sort you out.

As you're in Liverpool, give Alex Lawrie a call about it, or Mitchells at Ellesmere Port. Both are decent dealers with a good reputation. It's an understandable request, I would ask the same thing. Hopefully they'll be able to arrange something - for an overnight loan, or a weekend.
