Hello at last

Just got around to introducing myself after owning a Roomster for 7 weeks.

We ordered a 1.6 TDI 105 bhp on 20th. December 2010 in Storm Blue and were told to expect a 6 month wait.

We got a phone call after about 5 months to say no more Storm Blues will be made - you would think they would make the ones they had orders for and then stop making any more - but no, so we had to go for Aqua Blue and this finally turned up on 30th June 2011.

It's a super car. I wanted a replacement for my Focus C-max but not at a C-max price. I play drums in my spare time and with the backs of the back seats folded flat my 5 drums and 2 bags of stands easily fit in. The acceleration is as quick as my 1.6 TDI C-max (being a lighter car helps) and I was surprised at how well the Roomster handles even with my 2 bags of stands over the nearside rear wheel as handling was one of the C-max's strong points.

Also, being a C-max owner, I specified an arm rest on the Roomster and find that if I depress it slightly below horizontal it doesn't interfere with the handbrake.

So, so far, so good and 60 mpg.
