Nice putting names to faces today!

Anyone got any skoda results from the dyno?

Nice to see some of your lots fabias. I didn't really speak to anyone really.

Seen ants, trevs, gavins and a few others I recognise but unsure on the names

I was in the yellow French thing :)

In a mickey mouse top haha

I got 242 bhp and 426 newton meter = 314.201 474 74 pound foot of torque good to see old and new faces

That explains it. I must have missed you selling your vRS, someone mentioned "Tas is here" so I was looking round the carpark for a black Fabia, hadn't realised you'd switched!

I got 202bhp, and 523Nm (380lb/ft) in a quite horrid spike in a place on the revband that I never use as it's too low. Also honorary awards for the smokiest car and worst map pulled off the arsiest ECU (took two laptops, several cables, and about half an hour of Ben and Mikko's time to even talk to it, never mind read the map). All be sorted by 4 o'clock today though, I'm using my extra day off work to head up to Shark and let Ben and Mikko put their healing hands on it ;)

A fun day out and lots of new and old faces (John :D)

Have to laugh at your car on the dyno though Gav, it basically turned day into night!

Yeah, was a lot worse than I thought it would be! I know there's often more smoke on a dyno than on the road but bloody hell! :D

Awesome did the original map, didn't they?

And it was supposed to be 240/440 or something?

Looked well bar the smoke fest anyway lol!

Yep, was sold as 240/440, Redline-featured as being 400lb/ft in September 2010. So a little disappointed with the figures, but not as disappointed as with Mikko's opinion of the map itself which was that it was total crap. The figures could have just been an extreme example of dyno lottery, but a rubbish map is a rubbish map however you cut it. Not too happy at being sold an almost dangerous car (I knew the map wasn't perfect but I thought Awesome had better standards than that, they're not exactly Billy Byteshooter in a back street garage with his downloaded maps) but not much I can do about it now.

Been back today and had it redone, the curve looks very similar to the original but without the torque spike and it actually holds more bhp after about 4000 rpm than the original map, there's power virtually to the redline now. So my peak figures are down but they were only ever "up" for about 250rpm in an unusable RPM range anyway. On the road it feels virtually no different apart from holding the power for longer and I didn't see any smoke in the mirrors. More than happy with it and hopefully the last of the gunk will clear itself out and burn off, been running single-dose Millers for the past few tanks, I think I'll double-dose it tonight and then try and get everything nice and warm for the next few days and see how it goes.

First thing I did after getting home last night was peel the Awesome stickers off my windows, and first thing I did getting home tonight was stick a pair of Shark ones in their place. If as many people notice those as did the Awesome ones, hopefully plenty of word of mouth advertising for Ben and Mikko ;)

Yeah defo big up shark

Just out of interest did anyone here me pull out of shark? I'm just interested in what people thought my megane sounded like?

I heard it when you had Ben in the car, sounded awesome

Got a picture of the graph?

What power/torque does it make now?

I pinched Mikko's printout with both Awesome and Shark graphs on, I don't have a scanner but I'll get a picture of it later. With the Awesome map yesterday it made 202.6bhp and 523Nm (~380lb/ft), today with Mikko's final map on it made 200.7bhp and 448Nm (~330lb/ft). On the road I can't really tell the difference though except maybe while pulling off, all other times if I was driving it hard I kept it at higher revs. If anything it drives better with the Shark map, even though the figures are lower it actually feels like it pulls a lot better and is more responsive, and the power lasts longer.
